Goethals, who hails from Île-des-Chênes, MB, was added to the Stampeder lineup on October 14, 2018 in a blockbuster deal with the Selkirk Steelers. The 6’1” 180 lbs forward scored 34 goals while adding 45 assists in 50 regular season games. He added another 12 goals and 13 assists in 17 playoff games. Goethals was twice named RBC player of the month, and named to the MJHL First All-Star Team.

“I’m very happy to be continuing my hockey career with the Bisons” said Goethals. “To be able to play hockey and get an education close to home is great and to do so with my close friends is simply amazing.”

Goethals will join former Stampeder players Keaton Jameson and recently committed forward Brian Harris.
