The Swan Valley Stampeders are proud to announce that Forward Bradly Goethals has committed to play with the University of Manitoba Bisons for this coming season.
Goethals started his junior playing career in 2015-2016 with the Selkirk Steelers and and the Dauphin Kings. Over the course of the next two seasons, he dressed in 95 games for both the Everett Silvertips and the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL.
The power forward was acquired by the Stampeders in October and would help lead the team to one of their best records in franchise history.
Goethals, who hails from Île-des-Chênes, MB, was added to the Stampeder lineup on October 14, 2018 in a blockbuster deal with the Selkirk Steelers. The 6’1” 180 lbs forward scored 34 goals while adding 45 assists in 50 regular season games. He added another 12 goals and 13 assists in 17 playoff games. Goethals was twice named RBC player of the month, and named to the MJHL First All-Star Team.
“I’m very happy to be continuing my hockey career with the Bisons” said Goethals. “To be able to play hockey and get an education close to home is great and to do so with my close friends is simply amazing.”
Goethals will join former Stampeder players Keaton Jameson and recently committed forward Brian Harris.
