IG Wealth Management – Pre-Game Report

Stampeders look to bounce back against Winkler

Stampeders: 4-9-0-0 (4th in West) Power Play % (19.6%) Penalty Kill % (65.2%)

Flyers: 4-7-1-0 (6th in East) Power Play % (28.6%) Penalty Kill % (87.1%)

Tonight, the Stampeders open up a two game home set against the Winkler Flyers, trying to brush off the 9-1 loss to Wayway just three nights ago.

Sitting in fourth in the MGEU West Division, the Stamps need to continue to play a full 60 minutes and not get over-confident while going into games that have importance. Tonight, the Stamps are playing their East Division equal in the Winkler Flyers.

The Flyers have been an inconsistent team this season, but have beaten some good teams. Sitting with a 4-7-1-0 record, the Flyers have almost the same problem as the Stamps, and that’s keeping the puck out of their own net. Though complete opposites on the penalty kill, the two teams power plays can be lethal when given the opportunity. The Stampeders need to be careful against the third best power play, and third best penalty kill in the MJHL.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders: Riley Fequet, Jaxon Haley, Crosby Harrison

Flyers: Niklas Gudmundson, Jacob Michelson, Liam Carlone

Tonight’s 50/50 is a guaranteed $1000 take home prize courtesy of Northern Lights Eatery. The puck drops at 7 pm tonight, while tomorrows game is a $500 take home prize also starting at 7 pm against the Flyers.
