IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps look for weekend split against Flyers

Stampeders: 4-10-0-0 (4th in West Division) Power Play % (19.6%) Penalty Kill % (65.2%)

Flyers: 5-7-1-0 (5th in East Division) Power Play % (28.1%) Penalty Kill (87.1%)

After a tough 2-1 loss to the Flyers last night, the Stampeders will look to try and get back into the win column tonight as they face Winkler once again tonight in the SRCA.

Ethan MacTavish scored the only goal last night, while Easton Falls made 30/32 in the loss. The team could not find any more goals but saw their chances throughout the night. They’ll need to be a little less fancy and limit the turnovers in order to get two points.

Winkler was able to steal the two points because of the special teams, not allowing the Stampeder power-play any high danger chances in 9 opportunities. They’re aggressive penalty killing continues to prove to work well. Leif Ekblad made 30/31 saves in the win.

One player that has to get going for Swan is Ben Groome, who hasn’t scored since the Stamps home opener against the Dauphin Kings. He hit the post last night, watch out for him to put the puck in the net.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders: Ben Groome, Nathan Hayes, Bennett Muller

Flyers: Kam Thomas, Tanner George, Charles Bernier

Tonight’s game’s 50/50 is a guaranteed $500 pot, make sure to buy you tickets online or at the rink. The puck drops at 7 pm.
