IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps look to regain traction against Wolverines on Tuesday

Stampeders: 4-11-0-0 (4th in West Division) Power Play % (17.2%) Penalty Kill (69.8%)

Wolverines: 7-7-1-0 (3rd in West Division) Power Play % (28.4%) Penalty Kill (76.2%)

The Stampeders go into Tuesday night looking for a swing of momentum, as they face the Wayway Wolverines for the third meeting of the season between the two teams.

Wayway has given the Stampeders trouble this season, as they have beaten the Stamps 7-5 and 7-1 on home turf this season, however, the Stampeders get to welcome them to Swan for the first time this season, a place where they have performed more comfortably and better.

The Stampeders must stay out of the penalty box against the currently tied for best power play in the MJHL and must stay level headed against their division rivals. Wayway is coming off a 5-1 win over the Portage Terriers, and will want to increase their lead on the Stampeders in the standings.

Although the Stampeders hold the fourth and final playoff spot in the West, they must get back to getting points and giving themselves the best chance to succeed, as both Northern Manitoba and Neepawa have games in hand on them, to be more specific, Neepawa and NorMan will both have five games in hand after tonight.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders: Bennett Muller, Ekam Dhaliwal, Trace Langan

Wolverines, Ben Roulette, Kurt Rookes, Sebastien Hicks
