IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps face Titans for first meeting of season

Stampeders: 6-16-1-0 (5th in West) Power Play % (24.2% 4th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (67.8% 12th in MJHL)

Titans: 9-11-0-1 (4th in West) Power Play % (21.4% 9th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (82.6% 4th in MJHL)

The Stampeders head down to Neepawa today for their first meeting of the season with the Neepawa Titans. Last season, the Stampeders and Titans had arguably the best and most entertaining season series, going to extra time in 4 of the 6 meetings last year.

The Titans did win the season series but the Stampeders easily could have flipped that. This season, fans can hope once again that the growing rivalry between Swan and Neepawa grows. Swan has lost five in a row while Neepawa is 1-3 in their last four games, both of these teams are hungry for some wins.

After Wayway’s win last night, Neepawa dropped to 4th in the division and gained a seven point differential on Swan in the playoff race. Neepawa still has a six point difference, but the Stamps have shown signs of turning their play around, they’ll look to finally get to that mark tonight in Neepawa.

Stamps forward Bennett Muller makes his return after an upper-body injury against the Winkler Flyers two weeks ago, meanwhile, Ethan MacTavish and Crosby Harrison both scored 4 points last week and will look to contribute big. Trace Langan has continued his point streak with 8 points in his last six games, he’ll look to keep that going.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders: Bennett Muller, Trace Langan, Ethan MacTavish

Titans: Logan Paquette, Talen Wallis, Kyle Weisgarber

Tonight’s game will start at 7:30 pm inside of Yellowhead Centre. The Stampeders will follow this week up with a game on Saturday, Nov. 29 when the Portage Terriers come to town for a 7 pm puck drop.
