Nighthawks: 30-2-1-0 (1st in East) Power Play % (24.8% 2nd in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (85.6% 2nd in MJHL)
The Stampeders will continue their four game road trip tonight, as they face the #2 ranked team in the CJHL, the Niverville Nighthawks.
In 33 games, the Nighthawks have lost 3 times which has them in first in the MJHL by a solid 8 point cushion. They’re coming off an 8-3 win over the Neepawa Titans, and have won 6 straight games. The Stampeders will for sure have their hands full with the Nighthawks tonight.
The Stamps recently broke their 11 game losing streak with a great 60 minute effort over the Northern Manitoba Blizzard, winning 5-1. With the trade deadline week really stirring, the Stampeders welcome 7 new players to the team.
Alex Scheck, Dylan Ruff, Zach Hertz, Wylie Smith, Reis Nyland, Noah Stott, and Aidan Grant will all be in the lineup tonight against the Nighthawks. Stay tuned for possibly more movement in the MJHL.
Players to Watch:
Stampeders: Ben Groome, Jake Giacobbo, Andrew Pidskalny
Nighthawks: Hayden Wheddon, Adam Vigfusson, Merik Boles
Tonight’s game starts at 7:30 pm. This is the first of two games this weekend for the Stamps, as they head to Selkirk tomorrow to face the Steelers at 7 pm.
