IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps try for two points this afternoon against Blizzard

Stampeders: 8-22-3-1 (5th in West) Power Play % (21.7% 9th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (66.4% 13th in MJHL)

Blizzard: 6-23-2-2 (6th in West) Power Play % (15.5% 11th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (80.6% 4th in MJHL)

It’s the Swan Valley Credit Union Kids Game as the Stampeders host the Blizzard for the first time this season in Swan. Schools from all over Swan River will be in attendance for today’s game.

The Stampeders come into this game on the heels of an 8-2 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines last Friday. A full team effort saw the Stampeders completely take over the game in a matter of minutes and with their momentum, they look to potentially string something together starting against the Blizzard.

The Blizzard are coming off a weekend which seen them go 1-1 on the two game set against the Neepawa Titans. They managed to get a win over the Titans by a 6-5 score, but then fell 7-4 the following night. Though they’ve struggled to find much consistency, the Blizzard are no team to take lightly.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders: Crosby Harrison, Wylie Smith, Jake Giacobbo

Blizzard: Jett Fogle, Isaac Tomchak, Kelton Kellerman

After tonight’s game, the Stampeders will head to Winnipeg to take on the Monarchs starting on Saturday at 7:30 pm, and eventually wrapping up the weekend against the Monarchs again on Sunday at 6 pm.
