Stampeders: 15-23-3-1 (5th in West) Power Play % (22.5% 6th in MJHL) Penalty Kill (70.2% 12th in MJHL)
Flyers: 25-16-1-2 (4th in East) Power Play % (23.9% 3rd in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (86.9% 1st in MJHL)
After a big 4-2 win in Portage last night, the Stampeders come into Winkler winners of four in a row. However, they’ll have their hands full tonight as they take on the Winkler Flyers for the final time tonight at 7:30 pm.
Swan has played very well over the last nine games, going 8-1 in that span. Tonight will be yet another test for the young Stampeder squad against a Flyers team that has not lost a lot in this second half. They’ve won 10 out of 13 games in this second half and are just two points back of Portage for third.
Swan will need to get off the schnide against a Flyers team that has given them trouble all season long.
Players to Watch:
Stampeders: Crosby Harrison, Dylan Ruff, Reis Nyland
Flyers: Niklas Gudmundson, Tanner George, Ethan MacTavish
Tonight’s game goes at 7:30 pm in Winkler. The Stamps will have a week off until Friday, Feb. 13 when they head to The Pas to face the Blizzard.
