IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps look to get back in win column

Stampeders: 15-24-3-1 (5th in West) Power Play % (21.8% 9th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (69.2% 12th in MJHL)

Blizzard: 6-33-2-2 (6th in West) Power Play % (13.7% 11th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (81.7% 4th in MJHL)

Today marks another early game for the Stampeders, as they head north to The Pas to take on the Blizzard.

Swan has won two straight games against the Blizzard after their original hiccup. They’re also on one of their best stretches in quite some time, as they’ve won 8 of their last 10 games and have a 9-5 record in the second half of the season.

The Blizzard, after winning a championship title last season, have had it really tough this season. However they are not a team to take lightly, like every team in the MJHL. They’ve played some good games against good teams. They’ll look to cool off the red hot Stamps with their school game.

Swan currently sits 14 points back of fourth in the MGEU West Division. However they do have games in hand on both Waywayseecappo and Neepawa and must gain all the points they can to try and make this late playoff push close.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders – Wylie Smith, Easton Falls, Dylan Ruff

Blizzard – Isaac Tomchak, Daylin Monias, Justin Whitrow

The Stamps will then end the weekend with a game against the Winnipeg Monarchs on Saturday at 7 pm.
