Stamps fall 6-3 Saturday night
The Stampeders struggled once again Saturday night to find any sort of offence and consistency on the back end tonight in a 6-3 loss to the Flyers.
Once again, a slow start to the game proved costly, as the Flyers scored just 1:07 into the period as Oliver Schroeder scored a seeing eye snapshot through a screen to open the scoring. The score would remain 1-0 going into the second period.
The middle frame saw six goals combined for both sides, as Darren Hunt scored on the power play to tie the game at one. Kam Thomas kept up his hot weekend by making it 2-1, then Ekam Dhaliwal tied it at 2 just over a minute later, Thomas would score again to make it 3-2, while Bennett Muller tied it at three. Jacob Michelson would score the fourth goal to make it 4-3.
The Flyers would score two more to win 6-3.
Next up: The Stampeders will host the Wayway Wolverines for Halloween night on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 pm.
