Stamps win second straight game

The Stamps were able to gain their second straight win after a 5-3 effort over the Northern Manitoba Blizzard

Period one started off back and forth with both teams not getting much early chances in the first 20 minutes. Swan was able to open the scoring after Aidan Grant scored his first as a Stamp after Groome and Giacobbo forced a turnover and got some open space, forcing the goal.

Ben Groome would make it 2-0 on a quick play to the net for his seventh of the season to round out the scoring in the period. Into the second, Noah Stott would score his second as a Stamp to make it 3-0 early in the middle frame, but the Blizzard finally struck through, as Jett Fogle made it 3-1 on the power play.

Groome would score once again to make it 4-1 and regain the three goal advantage, the score would go into the third with the Stamps up three.

The Blizzard made it 4-2 early in the third as Isaac Tomchak would score to cut the deficit down to two. The Stamps saw Trace Langan score just a few minutes later to make it 5-2. Norman would add one more but it was too little too late, as the Stamps hung on for a 5-3 win. Sam Bastien made 23/26 for the win.
