Stamps earn third straight win after OT heroics

Battling for the full 60 minutes with next to no room out on the ice, the Stampeders were able to gain a 3-2 OT win on Saturday night.

The game began with an early marker for the Stampeders, a breakaway goal by Ryder Woods saw him get off the schnide and open the scoring. However, the Monarchs fought back and tied the game late in the first by the hands of Andre Cho.

With the score at ones after the first 20 minutes, the Stamps came into the second looking to try and retake the lead and they did just that as Ben Groome scored his ninth of the season to make it 2-1. However, Idris Alameddine would score just six minutes later to tie it again.

The score would remain 2-2 for the next 33 minutes, as the game did end up needing extra time. After so man chances to score, Stamps forward Dylan Ruff managed to score his second as a Stamp and the overtime winner for the Stamps third straight win.
