New Country Motel – Post-Game Report

Stampeders narrowly fall to Kings 2-1

The Swan Valley Stampeders fell in a razor thin close match-up with the Dauphin Kings, 2-1 being the final.

The Stampeders had a great start to the game, scoring first courtesy of Bennett Muller, who got a beautiful pass from behind the back by Jaxon Haley to opening the scoring. The Kings would answer late in the frame to tie the game and that would be the story throughout the game going into the third period.

Sheldon Shyiak was able to sneak one pass Sam Bastien, who made 29/31 saves on the night. Overall, the Stampeders played well in front of a large Tuesday night home crowd, playing better on the defensive side of play.

Going into the weekend, the Stampeders are hoping to welcome back some key forwards back into the lineup, as they face the Pistons on Friday in Steinbach at 7 pm, and the Winnipeg Blues at the RINK Training Centre on Saturday for a 7:30 pm puck drop…
