Paull Funeral Home & Crematorium Three Stars of the Week (Nov. 27 – Dec. 4)

It’s time for another Three Stars of the Week, which is brought to you by Paull Funeral Home and Crematorium. Every Monday we will be awarding three players who had a big week and giving them stars. We will be doing this week-to-week with points being collected throughout the season. The top three will players will be recognized and presented an award during our final home game of the regular season.

The Swan Valley Stampeders remain red hot after a pair of wins this past weekend against the Neepawa Titans.

The Stampeders travelled to Neepawa for a pair of games this past weekend and skated to victory in two different ways, one in regulation and the other in overtime.

Swan found themselves trailing 3-1 heading into the third period Friday night and that’s when the offence exploded. The Stamps’ scored four straight goals to defeat the Titans 5-4 and moved into a first-place tie with the OCN Blizzard.

The Stampeders followed that up with a 5-4 overtime win Saturday night after they let a 4-2 lead slip in the third period. Jakob Jones was the overtime hero, snapping home his team-leading 16th goal of the season with 37 seconds left in the extra frame, closing out their two-game road trip with four points, and pushing their win streak to five games.

Swan has now won 10 of their last 12 games and propelled them into first place in the MGEU West Division.

The “Three Stars of the Week” is brought to you by Paull Funeral Home & Crematorium, and will be awarded week-to-week with points being collected throughout the season. The top three will players will be recognized at the end of the season.
