Every Monday we will be awarding three players who had a big week and giving them stars. We will be doing this week-to-week with points being collected throughout the season. The top three players will be recognized and presented an award during our final home game of the season.
The Three Stars of the Week has been released early this week due to the Showcase being held Monday and Tuesday in Winnipeg.
The Stampeders had another busy week, playing three games in five nights. Swan Valley didn’t have a great week, giving up 21 goals against and only scoring 9 goals for. The Stamps’ dropped their first game 7-5 Tuesday afternoon in Waywayseecappo. They followed that up with a 10-1 thumping at the hands of the Virden Oil Capitals Friday night at Tundra Oil & Gas Place. They finished the week off with a much better performance but still couldn’t find two points, falling 4-3 in overtime to the Neepawa Titans.
The Stampeders need to find their rhythm quickly or things may get out of hand with four games in 6 nights this upcoming week.
Busy week ahead | The Stampeders will be heading to Winnipeg for a pair of games that will take place at this years MJHL Showcase at Seven Oaks Sportsplex. Swan will face Selkirk Monday at 5:00p.m and the Winnipeg Freeze Tuesday at 2:00p.m.. They will return home for a pair of games against Virden (Friday) and Portage (Saturday) at the Centennial Arena.
