Scantlebury Commits To Lakehead University

The Swan Valley Stampeders are pleased to announce that forward Tucker Scantlebury has committed to play with Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON for the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old made stops with the Melville Millionaires (SJHL) and the Lloydminster Bobcats (AJHL) playing in 133 games, scoring 35 goals and adding 37 assists.

The 6”0”, 170-pound power forward from Foxwarren, MB was acquired January 4th from the Lloydminster Bobcats by former Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff.

Scantlebury would dress in 20 regular season games with the Stampeders scoring five goals and adding 10 assists. He was a big part of the Stamps’ long playoff run, picking up seven goals while adding seven assists in 17 games.

“I have heard nothing but good things about the community and city of Thunder Bay,” said Scantlebury. “Having the opportunity to further my education as a student athlete is something I’m very grateful for. I have enrolled in General Arts.”
