When Swan Valley Stampeders Head Coach and GM Taurean White named Keaton Jameson Captain at the start of the year it came as no surprise. Jameson has been with the organization since 2015 and continues to excel in every aspect of his game. Jameson who hails from Brandon Manitoba, has 37 goals, and 42 assist in 146 games.
Assistant Coach Darren Webster said Keaton Jameson is absolutely the right guy to lead our hockey team. Keats is a player that leads by example on and off the ice. He is, in so many ways, the driver of the offence. He kills penalties. He’s the guy taking key defensive zone face-offs for us. Keats has that ability to make every teammate around him better.
He does everything he possibly can to become a better hockey player and does it with a smile on his face and loves every minute of it. It’s really refreshing in sport to see somebody that mature, that grounded who can have fun and drive himself every single day. I’ve never had a player that has developed the ability to drive himself on a daily basis as hard as Keaton does. It’s unique.” That is why Keaton is our captain.
Keaton is a great leader on and off the ice and is an integral part of our team, he brings his game every night. He’s well respected within the organization, by his teammates and the community said President Jason Mosiondz.
I couldn’t have asked for a better person and player to lead this hockey team. Keaton makes everyone around him better… including myself. He is a player who wants to win. He is always the first guy on the ice and last guy off. I can’t say enough good things about Keaton Jameson, and his character, said Head Coach and GM Taurean White.
Keaton Jameson has been a strong leader, both on and off the ice and continues to wear the Stampeder colours with pride.
