Stampeders Complete Trade With Lloydminster

SWAN RIVER, MB– The Swan Valley Stampeders have traded the CJHL playing rights of forward Jaden Townsend (’99) and defencemen Dane Hirst (‘99) to the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). This completes the futures portion of the Tucker Scantlebury deal on January 4,  2019.

Townsend, a 6’0” 194 lbs forward who hails from Roblin, MB, played in 155 games for the Stampeders, scoring 37 goals and adding 36 assists.

Hirst, a 6’2” 190 lbs defencemen who hails from Lac du Bonnet, MB, played in 168 games for the Stampeders, scoring 6 goals while adding 57 assists.

Both Hirst and Townsend played three years for the Stamps’ and are entering their final year of junior hockey eligibility.
