The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped a 4-2 decision to the visiting Virden Oil Capitals Saturday night at the Centennial Arena.
Swan Valley’s offence was led by Adam Rajsigl and Justin Keck who each collected a goal in the loss.
Swan Valley jumped out to a very early 1-0 lead Saturday night as Rajsigl sent a shot on goal that handcuffed Eric Reid 37 seconds into the game. Keck added his eighth of the year, scoring six minutes later and the Stampeders held a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.
After that, it was all Virden who scored three goals six minutes apart to hold a 3-2 lead at the end of forty minutes.
Despite their efforts in the third period, it was Colin Cook who sealed the deal with his second of the night scoring into an empty net at 19:39 and the Oil Capitals skated to a 4-2 win.
