The Oil Capitals struck first in tonight’s contest, scoring 7:29 into the first period as Brett Sabel collected his third of the season. Riley Fequet answered back five and a half minutes later as Owen LaRocque was pressured by Jakob Jones, resulting in Fequet shooting into an empty net.

Bryce Bryant (0:59) and Nolan Chastko (6:57) added goals in the second period giving the road team a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Jakob Jones (5:18) and Amar Power (7:10) scored back-to-back power play goals, tying the game 3-3 but that was all the offence the Stampeders could muster Friday night. Nolan Chaskto (12:57) and David Bielik (13:36) scored 40 seconds apart to take a 5-3 win on the road.
