Trey Sauder received a lucky break, sending a pass out front, hit off a defender’s skate and in with one minute left in the first period.
Mathiew Catellier scored on the power play at 12:53 of the second period, going back-hand, fore-hand, roof for his fourth of the season.
Luke Schaeffer added his first as a Stampeder at 15:55 but it wasn’t enough and the Steelers held on for a 3-2 win at the Seven Oaks Sportsplex Monday night.
