Stampeders Fall to the Kings 3-0 Wednesday Night

The Swan Valley Stampeders fall on home ice 3-0 to the visiting Dauphin Kings Wednesday night at the Centennial Arena.

A big second period by Nakodan Greyeyes was all the Kings needed to defeat Swan Valley and move back into first place in the West Division.

Swan had the jump in the first period and played right along-side the Kings and as a result of some stellar goaltending by Kobe Grant the game remained scoreless through twenty minutes of play.

The backbreaker for the Stamp’s was Greyeyes’ first goal of the game, a weird bounce off two players and into the back of the net behind Kobe Grant. Greyeyes followed that up with his second of the game two and a half minutes later for his third of the season.

Swan Valley pushed in the third period but Logan Calder sealed the deal with an empty net goal late in the third and the Kings skated to a 3-0 win.

Final shots on goal

Dauphin – 32

Swan River – 22

Swan Valley will now regroup and look to bounce back Friday night at they travel to Waywayseecappo to face the Wolverines. Puck drop is set for 7:30p.m. and can be viewed live on HockeyTV.com.
