Swan Valley Stampeders are excited to announce the hiring of their new Assistant Coach Dakota Mason.
Mason, a native of Edmonton, AB, was most recently an Associate Coach with the Princeton Posse of the KIJHL. Mason comes to the Stampeders with Championship status, winning the Royal Bank Cup as a player with the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL
“I’m extremely excited to join such a great organization and have the opportunity to learn from one of the best and most experienced coaches in the CJHL,” said Mason. “My fiancée, 3 year old daughter and I are also extremely excited to join the community of Swan River. We love living in small tight knit communities and are very eager to become members of the community. My playing background includes 1 year in the NAHL with the Dawson Creek Rage followed by 2 years with the Brooks Bandits in where I was fortunate enough to win 2 AJHL Championships and 1 National Championship. I went on to play NCAA div 3 hockey with Plattsburgh State Cardinals. Most recently I was the associate coach with the Princeton Posse in the KIJHL. I will add a winning mindset and work ethic to go along with being driven to help develop our players towards their future hockey goals.”
“We are happy to add a quality person and coach like Dakota,” said Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff. “His strong work ethic and commitment to player development will be a huge asset to the Stampeders moving forward.”
The Swan Valley Stampeder organization would like to welcome Dakota, his Fiancée Bay and 3 year old daughter Ella Rose to Swan River.
