Stampeders Hold AGM

The Swan Valley Stampeders Junior “A” Hockey Club Inc. held their Annual General Meeting Thursday June 24, 2021 via zoom.

President Cramer Coulthart opened the evening from the comforts of his own office thanking all volunteers, fans, local HockeyTV staff, board of directors, marketing, the team and all staff. Last season was cut short due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but it turned a much needed corner for the organization financially. Coulthart went on to say that the club and the league are looking forward to getting the 2021/22 season started.

Important Numbers (Revenue)

The Swan Valley Stampeders Board of Governors announced that the team had a net profit of $178,702 for 2020/21 which went a long way toward paying down the approximately $240,000 of debt shown at last years AGM. The team also announced that they had received close to $83,000 in government assistance programs which include the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, CEBA loans and Manitoba Bridge Grants.

“We were able to hit the ground running in 2020 as the season got underway and we were successful in corporate partnerships and ticket sales,” said team President Cramer Coulthart. “Year over year we generated approximately the same revenue but expenses were down 250k. With the year cut short, the Majority of season ticket holders & sponsors have donated some or all of their packages back to the team. This puts us in a much better position moving forward into 2021-2022 season.”

The Board of Directors is still seeking new members. If you or someone you know wants to join please contact any board member today.
