Stampeders Host Comedy & Games Night Event

The Swan Valley Stampeder organization put on an amazing event Friday night at the War Veteran’s Community Hall. The night, part of the teams’ parent weekend, was filled with laughter, fun, and games.

The event was kicked off with cocktails and appetizers at 6:30pm. The events host, Dan Palsson then took the stage to speak to the crowd.
He would call upon President Pat Morden to say a few words.

“It’s events like these that make the team successful,” said Morden. He went on to thank everyone who bought a ticket and for the continued support of the Stampeders organization.

The main event was well worth the wait.

Comedian Kelly Taylor from Prince Albert, SK took the stage at 8:00pm and was an instant hit. Taylor has been performing for numerous years and has travelled the world keeping laughter alive.

A night of fun and games followed Taylor’s show, with everyone in attendance getting involved. Brian Gilroy was the lucky winner of a $1,500 WestJet voucher.

The organization wants to thank everyone again for buying a ticket to the event, and for their continued support of the Stampeders.

The Stampeders will be back in action tonight at the Centennial Arena, as they host the Virden Oil Capitals. There is lots on the go tonight’s as the Timbits hockey players will take the ice during the first intermission, Taylor School Choir will be signing O Canada, and tonight’s 50/50 is a guaranteed $1000 take home prize. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
