The Swan Valley Stampeders have now lost two in a row, dropping a 7-1 decision to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Friday night on the road.
The game started strong as Captain Carter Cockburn opened the scoring 2:22 into the opening frame, collecting his 18th of the year on the power play. But, that all changed quickly as Carson Baptiste tied the game just over six minutes later beating Kobe Grant for his 12th of the year. Colby Wotton gave the Wolverines the lead ten minutes later, scoring his sixth of the season.
The scoring continued in the second period as Kolton Shindle swatted home his 10th of the season, beating Grant five-hole on the power play 3:52 in. Reagan Rabbit sent a shot on goal from the point that seemed to hit something on the way in and fluttered over everyone and into the back of the net at 14:51. Caleb Petrie beat his defender wide and drove the net scoring the Wolverines fifth goal of the night 23 seconds later.
Boston Bird collected his 11th of the year 47 seconds into the third period as he was left all alone at the side of the net. Andrew Boucher gave the Wolverines a 7-1 lead just over five minutes later on the power play, beating Grant for his 12th of the year.
