Stamps defeat Wayway at home

The 6-10-3 Stampeders were back on home ice this evening against the 1-20-0-1 Wayway Wolverines. The Stamps came off a 0-2 road trip and were looking for 2 points.

Swan Rivers own Quinn Munro got the start in net tonight but found themselves trailing when Preston Seymour scored just 53 seconds into the game. Jaden Townsend scored his 6th of the season at 2:28 on the power play with Matt Osadick and Lane Kirk picking up the assists. The Stamps took the lead at 10:17 when Keaton Jameson went 5 hole on Curtis Stewart on the power play. The 1st period came to a end with the Stamps leading 2-1 and the shots 16-7 in favour of Swan.

The 2nd period was back and forth action between the two clubs. Wayways Macklin McPhee tied the game at 2 at the 15:29 mark. Noah Basarab picked up his 6th of the season at 16:56 and his 7th at 19:08 as the stamps lead 4-2 after 40 minutes.

The Stamps continued their hard play in the 3rd as Taylor Derynck made a heads of pass to Parker Johnson who went in all alone and picked up his 1st as a Stampeder at 2:01.
Wayway kept pressuring Swan but couldnt beat Quinn Munro as the Stamps defeated the Wolverines 5-2. Final shots on goal were 38-27 for Swan. Next action for the Stampeders will be Wednesday November 22nd in Neepawa. Game time is 7:30.
