The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their final game of 2019, losing 3-1 to the Portage Terriers Saturday night.
The Portage Terriers snapped the Stampeders recent five game win streak, and eight game point streak, by defeating the Stampeders 3-1 in front of an electric crowd Saturday night in Swan River, MB.
Kolton Shindle opened the scoring less than a minute into the opening frame, collecting his 14th of the year on a short handed break.
Tyler Lees would put the Terriers up a pair 5:55 into the middle frame, collecting his third of the year. The Stampeders would finally solve Nathan Moore, as Lane Kirk and Mattias Dal Monte would find a wide open Frazer Dodd at the hash marks, who hammered home his 15th of the year at 19:11 of the second period.
Kolton Shindle scores his second of the game, and 15th of the year collecting his own rebound 2:02 into the final frame. Swan Valley couldn’t find enough offensive zone time tonight, falling to the Terriers 3-1 on home ice.
