Stamps Get 2 Points In Dauphin

The 13-15-4 Stampeders travelled down highway 10 tonight for a clash with the Dauphin Kings.

The Stampeders had a hot start to the game tonight as Trevor Mann opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game. The Stamps power play continued to click tonight as Connor Navrot added to the lead at 2:46. Dauphin cut into the lead as Thomas Hansell beat Ethan Peterson at 8:24. Daylin Smallchild scored his 2nd of the year as he let a point shot go that beat Justin Anderson at 14:32. The Stamps lead 3-1 after 20 minutes of play. Shots at the end of the 1st were 15-14 in favour of Swan.

The middle frame had the Stamps all over the Kings. Connor Navrot picked up his 5th of the season as he walked out and beat Anderson short side at 4:47. Dauphin answered back at 6:58 when Riley Shamray picked up his 7th of the year. Trevor Mann scored his 2nd of the game on a great set up by Connor Navrot and Keaton Jameson at 17:29. The Stamps weren’t done as Shane Roulette added to the lead at 19:08 and the stamps lead 6-2 after 40 minutes of play. Shots at the end of the middle frame were 37-29 for the Stampeders.

The 3rd period had both clubs go back and forth but neither team could solve Ethan Peterson or Justin Anderson. Tanner McKechnie had a spirited bout with Riley Shamray. The Stamps cruised to a 6-2 win and moving them 2 points behind Winnipeg for 8th. Final shots on goal were 49-35 for Swan Valley. Trevor Mann’s 2 goals, 1 assist was given tonight’s 3rd star, Keaton Jameson`s 4 assists was given 2nd star, and Connor Navrot`s 2 goal, 2 assist performance tonight was awarded the games 1st Star.
