The Swan Valley Stampeders pushed their win streak to eight games Saturday February 16th, beating the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. The win moves the Stamps within four points of first place in the MJHL and snaps the Wolverines recent five game win streak.

West Olive, MI, USA native Campbell Balk lead the way with two goals and one assist tonight, John Jebamani added two assists, Matt Osadick picked up two goals, Bradly Goethals added two goals of his own, and Merek Pipes stopped 31/34 for the win in net.

Waywayseecappo answered back at 2:10 as Brandon Lawson picked up his 13th of the year on the power play. The opening 20 minutes closed out with the score tied at one and the shots 15-11 for Swan Valley.

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines jumped all over the Stampeders to open the second period as Jaymes Knee snapped home his ninth of the year at 1:44. The Wolverines added to their lead at 6:38 as Conrad Phillips picked up a loose puck and beat Merek Pipes on a short handed break. Campbell Balk started the comeback for the Stampeders, as he found a loose puck out front and rifled home his ninth of the year at 13:35. After 40 minutes of play the two teams found themselves tied at three and the shots were 30-25 in favour of Swan.

The two clubs battled hard against one another in the third period but the Stampeders found away to take the lead late in the period. John Jebamani made a heads up play finding a wide open Bradly Goethals at the side of the net who then beat a sprawled out Isaac Labelle at 17:07.  Bradly Goethals and Campbell Balk each added an empty net goal in the last 30 seconds of play, and the Stampeders went on to defeat the Wolverines 6-3. Final shots on goal were 37-34 for the Stamps.
