Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders kicked-off their 2020/21 MJHL Regular Season on the road last night (Friday, Oct. 9) against the OCN Blizzard and skated away with a 6-3 win.

After a very lengthy break due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Stampeders started where they left off, and by that I mean scoring goals in bunches. Turn back time to when the Stampeders were playing in the first round of the MJHL playoffs last march and put up 10 against their opponents the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Between games three and four the season was cancelled and everything was put on hold.  Skip ahead seven months and we find ourselves watching the same exciting, high flying offence of the Stampeders once again.

The Blizzard and the Stampeders two put on a great showing for everyone last night to kick-off the MJHL regular season, and it’s expected that the fans will see more of the hard hitting, fast paced action again tonight in Swan River.
