Swan Valley Drop to 0-2 to Start the 2022/23 Season with a loss in OCN Saturday Night

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped to 0-2 on the road Saturday night, losing to the OCN Blizzard 3-1.

Despite out shooting the Blizzard throughout the game, Swan couldn’t generate any offence against goaltender Chase Hamm.

The Blizzard did a good job keeping the play to the outside and not giving swan any real high quality chances throughout.

OCN opened the scoring at 13:46 of the first period on the power play as Kayden Sutherland let a shot go from the point that beat Kobe Grant over the glove.

OCN increased their lead 2-0 as Ryan Monias tucked one through Grants pads at 11:03 of the middle frame. Swan cut the lead in half, scoring a power play goal by Collin Jennings at 15:02.

Riley Zimmerman sealed the deal with an empty net goal at 19:56, giving the home team a 3-1 win.
