The Swan Valley Stampeders are excited to announce their two auto-protected players ahead of this year’s Manitoba Junior Hockey League Draft.
The Stamps have selected Forward Alex Campbell (08) and Forward Trace Langan (08). Both hail from Swan River. Alex dressed in 43 games this past season with the U18 AAA Parkland Rangers while Trace dressed in 30 games for Prairie Hockey Academy.
Each year, all 13 MJHL teams have the ability to auto-protect two draft-eligible players from their respective regions before the Annual MJHL Draft. This year’s draft will take place on Sunday (June 2).
Alex Campbell, a 6’3”, 203 lbs. left-shot forward, collected 10 points (4 Goals – 6 Assists) and 18 penalty minutes in 43 games with the Parkland Rangers this past season.
Trace Langan, a 5’11”, 168 lbs. left-shot forward, collected 16 points (10 Goals – 6 Assists) and 46 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Prairie Hockey Academy this past season.
“We are very excited to add these two players to our protected list,” said Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff. “We have had great success with local Swan Valley area players and we hope these two will add to that list. This is an exciting day for Stampeder Hockey.”
The Swan Valley Stampeders are thrilled to select both Alex Campbell and Trace Langan and welcome both players and their families to the Stampeder organization.
