The Swan Valley Stampeders Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club Board of Directors is pleased to announce several organizational updates as we prepare for the 2025-26 season.
Welcoming Josh Tripp as Head Coach and General Manager
The Board is proud to officially welcome back Josh Tripp as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Swan Valley Stampeders. Josh returned to the organization late last fall following the departure of Barry Wolff and made an immediate impact. Under his leadership, the team rallied with renewed energy, narrowly missing a playoff berth while demonstrating grit, determination and unity.
As a former player and assistant coach of the Stampeders, Tripp has continued to foster the culture and values that define this organization. His passion for the team and the community is evident both on and off the ice, and we are confident in his ability to guide the Stampeders to a positive future.
“I’m excited to return for another season behind the bench,” said Tripp. “I am super excited for the direction the team is heading. I expect to return an unbelievable group of players from last season, we have signed some very talented young guys and we saw a very high level of players in the spring camp. We are going to be competitive from day one and I think all the fans have a lot to look forward to.”
Tripp will continue to work alongside Assistant General Manager Darren Webster and the Board to strengthen the organization and align the team for future success.
Thank You to Cody Manchester
The Board would also like to extend its sincere gratitude to former Director of Marketing Cody Manchester. Manchester brought energy and creativity to the role, helping strengthen the Stampeders’ brand and community connections. We thank Cody for his dedication and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
