The Swan Valley Stampeders hit the road for another matchup with Neepawa Titans. A team that has surprised the Stampeders team this season with their constant pressure and never-give-up attitude.
The Stampeders will need to bring their A-game tonight if they want to continue their rise to the top of the West Division.
Keys to the game.
- The Stampeders will need to stay out of the Penalty box and use their power play to create and generate more offence.
- Take the body – something that has lacked a lot this year.
- Keep the puck out of your own net. The Stampeder’s goals for (35) and against (37) this year need to change in order for them to become a solid contender moving forward.
The two teams will be playing their third game of a four-game mini-series at the Yellowhead Centre in Neepawa tonight at 7:30 p.m. with the fourth and final meeting scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in Swan River.
The two teams are 1-1 against each other as both teams won in a shootout last weekend and to top it all off they did so in each other’s barn. The Stampeders snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday, Oct. 17 in Neepawa and are looking to start a winning streak tonight and gain some traction in the West Division.
Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff has made some change to the lineup for tonight’s contest in Neepawa. Out is Adam Ward being replaced by Darius Makse. Myles Mason will take over at Center being flanked by Dharan Cap and Makse. Not dressing tonight will be Ethan Matchim, Lare Pahtayken, Jordan Gagnon, Adam Ward and Jayce Nikbakht.
