Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders return to the comforts of their home rink tonight as they play host to the Neepawa Titans, in their fourth and final time in a four game mini-series.

The Swan Valley Stampeders are having a tough time collecting more than a win at a time through the early stages of the 2021-22 season. Another thing that has lacked this year is keeping the puck out of their own net. Penalties and bad plays have hurt the young team as well this season.

That was on full display last night in Neepawa at the Yellowhead Centre. The stamps’ didn’t start on time, giving the Titans several power play opportunities and to put it nicely, bad turnovers cost Swan Valley a chance at winning back-to-back games for the first time in over a month.

The Stampeders will need a big game from everyone on the team tonight as they look to regain the two positions they fell last night with the 7-4 loss on the road.

Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff has made several changes to his lineup for tonight and big changes they are. Out of the lineup tonight includes Jayce Nikbakht, Jordan Gagnon, Dharan Cap, Jayden Mosiondz and Dayvan Bull. Entering the lineup tonight is Lare Pahtayken, Darius Makse, Adam Ward and someone we haven’t seen in a while – Ethan Matchim. The 6’5” 216 lbs defenceman who plays with an edge is exactly what the Stampeders need tonight.

Reminder to everyone planning to attend tonight’s game that goodies will be handed out during the first TV timeout in the first period and there will be giveaways throughout the game. Make sure to get entered in the draw box as you enter the Centennial Arena for your chance to win.
