The Swan Valley Stampeders will look to close out their only home stand in December on a high note tonight as they are set to face the Selkirk Steelers in their final game before the Christmas break.
The Stampeders (11-14-0-2) dropped a 3-2 decision to the Steelers (11-13-1-2) in a tight checking, gritty affair at the Centennial Arena last night. Tonight’s game should have more of that style of hockey as both these teams will be bringing their best efforts in order to climb in the standings in their respective divisions.
Fans are once again asked to bring a toy to donate to the Swan Valley CTC Toys 4 U Toy Drive. A table will be set up in the lobby for those donations as you enter. The Stampeders also have their annual non-perishable, toy, and gently used clothing drive on the go. Donations for that will also be accepted at the front door when you enter.
Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff has made two changes to his lineup ahead of tonight’s contest. Newly acquired goaltender Brock Moroz will be dressing as a back up to Kobe Grant and he will wear #29. Darius Makse returns to the lineup and will play alongside Cody Barnes and Trey Sauder. Dylan Black, Myles Mason, Lare Pahtayken and Collin Jennings will be scratched.
