Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders will conclude their 2021 portion of the season this weekend as they travel south to face the Portage Terriers in a pair of games at Stride Place.

The Stampeders are coming off a weekend split against the Selkirk Steelers and look to push their win streak to two games, inching closer to the .500 mark on the season.

The Stampeders will have a tough task tonight and tomorrow, as the Portage Terriers have won four out of their last five games and have pushed their record to 11-14-2-1. Swan Valley enters tonight’s contest having gone three and two in their last five games, sitting with a record of 12-14-0-2.

Looking above at the records, these two teams are very similar on paper and should be fun to watch or listen to on gx94radio.com with Benny Walchuck tonight. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at Stride Place.

Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff has made some lineup changes ahead of tonight’s contest in Portage. Myles Mason returns to the lineup and will flank Adam Ward and Emile Pichette on the top line. Not dressed tonight are Collin Jennings, Dylan Black, Lare Pahtayken and Justin Keck. Kobe Grant is expected to get the start in net while Brock Moroz will backup.
