Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders have a chance to redeem themselves tonight as they face off against the Portage Terriers at Stride Place in their final game before the Christmas break.

Last night’s game saw the Terriers score one power play marker, one short-handed marker, one even strength goal and one into an empty net. The Stampeders countered with an even strength goal and a power play marker of their own, but it wasn’t enough to take down a very young, very structured Portage team.

Entering tonight’s game the Stampeders sit fourth in the West Division (four points back of third), with a record of 12-15-0-2 while the Portage Terriers sit fifth (one point back of Selkirk for fourth), in the East Division with a record of 12-14-2-1.

Players to watch

SVS – Quinn Mulder (10G, 16A), Carter Cockburn (7G, 16A), Cody Barnes (11G, 8A) and Adam Rajsigl (5G, 13A).
