Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders are looking to push their win streak to five games and gain a bit more separation in the West Division standings when they host the Neepawa Titans tonight at the Centennial Arena.

The Stampeders have been in a role lately defeating the top three teams in the MJHL(Dauphin, Winnipeg, and Steinbach x2).

Swan Valley has flipped the script on a lot of teams who have them counted out. Since returning from the Christmas break the Stampeders have gone 4-0-0-1 and played themselves back into a playoff position.

Swan Valley has picked up nine out of ten points in their last five games and will now enter into a back-to-back, home weekend series against the Neepawa Titans.

These two teams know one another and split a four-game mini-series back in October. Swan Valley gave up 17 goals against in that series while scoring 18 for themselves.

Players to watch

SVS – Trey Sauder (5G, 9A), Brad Fortin (8G, 14A), Carter Cockburn (11G, 22A) and Quinn Mulder (10G, 20A).

NEE– Dallon Wilton (9G, 22A), Rylan Gudnason (15G, 15A), Mitch Thiessen (10G, 16A), and Jaeger Lapointe (17G, 8A).
