Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders (18-18-1-3) open up a new mini-series tonight as travel south to face the Waywayseecappo Wolverines (25-9-2-0) in a home-and-home that will finish tomorrow night in Swan River.

These two teams know each other very well and the Stampeders will be looking to right a wrong as the season series continues. Wayway has defeated the Stamps’ in three of four games, outscoring the Stampeders 19 – 15. Those four games happened early in the season and since then, both teams have made several changes to their rosters.

Tonight’s game between these two emerging powerhouse teams in the West Division will be fireworks, to say the least. Wayway is red hot and has won their last five straight games outscoring their opponents 25-7 while Swan Valley is 2-3, scoring 20 goals over the last five games while giving up 20 goals against.

The Stampeders will look for a better result on the road tonight as they need to keep ahead of the Oil Capitals and the Neepawa Titans in the West Division standings.
