Swan Valley Star & Times – Weekly Roundup

Stampeders set to end first half with two game set against Oil Caps

The Stampeders will look to try and get back on track this week as they face the Virden Oil Capitals for the final two games of 2025, the team will then go into Christmas Break and won’t play until the new year.

Swan has been on the bitter end of a season-high 10 game losing streak, however, the team has been playing well and aren’t out of any game by any means. Their most recent game saw them fall to the Steinbach Pistons by a 2-1 score, Ben Groome had the lone goal in the game, while Easton Falls made 22/24 in the loss.

The Oil Caps have been playing very well also, and have recently caught up to the Dauphin Kings in the West Division for first place. One thing’s for sure, the Stampeders will need to play a full 120 minutes of hockey in the home and home set in order to end the first half on a good note.

We’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
