Swan Valley Star & Times – Weekly Roundup

Stampeders look to get back on track with two game week

The Stamps are right back at it again against the Wayway Wolverines tomorrow night in the SRCA, as this will be the third time this season that these two teams matchup.

The Stampeders have been struggling to put the puck into the back of the net as of late, seeing so many chances throughout the past weekend against the Winkler Flyers. Had things gone the other way, the Stampeders may have gotten at least three points on the weekend.

Though the defensive effort is there and the Stampeders are limiting their mistakes, it tends to be a common theme that whenever they do make a small mistake in a crucial part of the game, it always goes the other way. The Stampeders must do their very best to nullify those mistakes and make sure they play a full 60 minutes in the games ahead.

This week, the Stampeders will face division rivals Wayway and Virden, who have been able to silence the Stampeder offence in the most recent affairs, with both Wayway and Virden only giving up one goal against the Stamps the last time they played each other.

This week will definitely see the Stampeders trying to get pucks to the front of the net and getting as much offence as possible, trying to get their offence kick started once again.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 7 pm, being the Halloween night, come to the game dressed up in your best costume! While Saturday, Nov. 1 will see the Stamps head to Virden for a 7:30 pm puck drop.
