Terriers top Stamps 5-2

The Stampeders concluded their weekend road trip on Saturday evening in Portage against the Terriers.  Playing down a couple bodies from Fridays game in Winkler, the Stampeders needed a full team effort to come out ahead of the Terriers.

As has been the case recently, the Stamp fell behind early again when Chase Brakel got the Terriers on the board just over 1 minute in to the game.  The Stampeders were able to reply midway through the frame when Matt Osadick was able to find the back of the net for his second of the year, finishing a nice 3 way passing play from Connor Navrot and Daylin Smallchild.  Joey Moffatt would quickly put the Dogs ahead just 3 minutes later.  Again, it was Osadick answering on a breakaway, scoring with 1 second remaining in the period.

Jeremy Leipsic was again able to get the Terriers out in front with the only goal of the 2nd frame.

Beginning the 3rd down 1, the next goal was sure to be a big one.  Unfortunately, it was the Terriers again.  Jacob Brown and James McIsaac were both able to find the back of the net in the 3rd giving the Terriers a 5-2 win.

The Stampeders continue on the road on Tuesday evening in Dauphin against the Kings.
