The IG Wealth Management Game 2 Report vs Steinbach

Steinbach, MB – The best-of-seven, semi-final series between the Swan Valley Stampeders and the Steinbach Pistons resumes tonight at T.G. Smith Centre.

The Stampeders and the Pistons both had their shining moments in Game 1 last night that saw a total of nine goals scored between the two teams. Penalties have also been a problem for the Stampeders all season long and it was a bit one-sided in that regard last night. The Stampeders were accessed six minor penalties to just two for the Pistons. Swan Valley has dealt with this issue all season and it showed last night, coming in prepared and fending off one of the league’s top offensive units.

Last night’s grueling battle took 73:38 to find a winner and it was Ty Paisley who played overtime hero to give the home squad a 1-0 series lead. Swan Valley will need a massive bounce back game tonight as they look to even this series before heading home for games 3 and 4.
