The IG Wealth Management Game Day Report

IG Wealth Management Game Day Report

Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 0-2-0-0. PP: 80% (1st) PK: 57.1% (9th) Rank – 12th MJHL

Head Coach: Barry Wolff

Assistant Coach: Brad Fox

Assistant Coach: Darren Webster

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Steinbach Pistons: The Stampeders struggles continued as they opened up the 2024-25 regular season, going 0-2 against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. Swan Valley had a hard time playing as a team and couldn’t find any momentum against the quick striking Blizzard. The Stampeders will kick-off a three-in-three road trip tonight against the Pistons, a team that has been at the top of the league for seasons. They went 1-1 to kick-off the regular season and look to use “home” ice advantage tonight. Swan will need to get going early on if they hope to find points on the road tonight.

Players to watch for: Aidan Taylor – Landen Gulutzan – Bennett Muller

Steinbach Pistons

Pistons Regular Season Record: 1-1-0-0. PP: 67% (2nd) PK: 100% (2nd) – Rank 6th MJHL

Head Coach: Paul Dyck

Assistant Coach:  Calvin Bugyik

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Swan: The Pistons have a bit of a new looking roster that compliments returning players Spencer Penner, Noah Szabo an Grady Hoffman. The Pistons split their season opening series 1-1 with the Winkler Flyers last weekend and will be looking to gain more momentum tonight at “home” against the traveling Swan Valley Stampeders squad.
