Tonight’s Matchup: vs the OCN Blizzard: The Stampeders’ point streak reached eight straight games last night in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings at Credit Union Place. Swan Valley has cooled off a bit but will need to turn up the thermostat a few degrees tonight if they want to stay ahead of the OCN Blizzard and close out the first half of the season on a high note.
Last Game: 4-3 OT loss to Dauphin: The Stampeders didn’t start on time, and were lucky Kobe Grant was on their side last night, stopping all 20 shots he faced in the first period. Swan Valley fell into a 2-0 hole early in the second period, but was able to respond with a power play marker of their own by Noah Wilson. Collin Jennings and Owen Harris scored less than six minutes apart in the third period but it was penalty trouble that hurt the Stampeders once again. A goal by the Kings with 3.7 seconds left in the game sent this one to overtime for the second straight game. And, yet again it was a power play goal that Dauphin scored to win.
