The IG Wealth Management Game Day Report vs Portage

IG Wealth Management Game Day Report

Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 4-4-1-1. PP: 16.7% (9th) PK: 81.1% (7th) Rank: 4th in West Division, 8th in MJHL

Head Coach: Barry Wolff

Assistant Coach: Dakota Mason

Assistant Coach: Darren Webster

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Portage: The Stampeders have had a tough time finding chemistry amongst their lines through the first 10 games of the season. Over the last 10 games, the Stamps sit with a subpar record of 4-4-1-1, giving up a boatload of shots against. Swan Valley has given up a total of 352 shots against; only two games where that number has been lower than 35. Safe to say that both goaltenders have done everything they can to keep their team in the game every night. Tonight’s game will be a huge test as they are set to face the Centennial Cup host, and first-place team in the east, the Portage Terriers.

Last Game: 5-1 loss to the OCN Blizzard: Swan Valley ran into a very hot goaltender, Chase Hamm, who has had the Stampeders’ number all season. Swan stumbled in the first period and couldn’t recover despite several power play opportunities in the second period. OCN continued their domination over Swan Valley, taking a 5-1 decision Tuesday night.
