Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 4-5-1-1. PP: 20% (8th) PK: 73.2% (12th) Rank: 5th in West Division, 9th in MJHL

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Winnipeg Blues: The Stampeders have now lost two straight, suffering their latest defeat by the Centennial Cup hosts, the Portage Terriers last night at the Centennial Arena. Penalties are once again a hot topic for the Stampeder squad, giving their opponents numerous opportunities every game and making their goaltenders work harder than they should. The Stampeders are averaging just over 37 shots a game against, and not getting enough scoring help from their full lineup. Swan Valley will need to rely on a full team effort tonight if they expect to break out of their recent losing streak tonight against the Blues.
Last Game: 5-2 loss to the Portage Terriers: Swan Valley ran into themselves in the first period last night. The walls collapsed around them in the opening frame, giving up four goals, three on the penalty kill, to a very strong Portage Terrier squad. Justin Keck and Warren Marcotte were able to find the back of the net but it wasn’t enough to beat the number one team in the MJHL on home ice.
