Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Winnipeg Blues: Swan Valley needs to shake off the loss on home ice last night and look forward to another tough team to play against tonight at the Centennial Arena. The Winnipeg Blues have had an up and down season, but make no mistake, they can beat you if you let your guard down. Just ask the OCN Blizzard, they suffered a shootout loss to the Blues last night at the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre.

Last Game: 5-2 loss to Steinbach: Swan Valley is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Steinbach Pistons Friday night at the Centennial Arena. It was a smaller crowd at the Corral last night to watch arguably the two hottest teams in the MJHL. Swan Valley went toe-to-toe with Steinbach before the relentlessness of Pistons took over, scoring five goals in the third period to defeat the Stampeders.

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Swan: Winnipeg is on a roll as of late and if you recall, the Stampeders needed a shootout to defeat the Blues last weekend in Winnipeg. With Moroz playing last night in OCN, it’s expected that Jackson McLeod will get the start in net tonight in Swan River. If the Blues can stay out of the penalty box, they have a chance at going 2-0 this road trip.

Last Game: 4-3 win over OCN: The Blues are coming off a hard fought shootout win against the OCN Blizzard last night at the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre. Luke Janus, Brandt Young and Thomas Kaufield collected goals for the Blues, Kai Elkie scored the only shootout goal and Brock Moroz stopped 44/47 shots he faced for the win.
